How to set up your Windows Wallet
Download a Windows Wallet.
Click the button below to download the NexxusCoin wallet for windows (zip file) to a preferred Nexxus folder. Extract NexxusCoint-qt.exe from the zip file by right clicking the file and selecting "Extract All...".
WINDOWS WALLET
Encrypt your Wallet.
Select the "Settings - Options..." menu option. On the Main tab select the checkbox "Start NexxusCoin on system login" to start you wallet automatically everytime you start your computer. On the Display tab you can select a user interface language. Secure your wallet by selecting the "Settings - Encript Wallet..." menu option. Enter a unique long passphrase and save it to a secure location away your computer. Make absolutely sure you have recorded your passphrase correctly because it is your only access to your coins. Your newly encripted wallet will restart. This will secure your wallet from unauthorized intruders.
Unlock your Wallet.
Evertytime your wallet starts up select the "Settings - Unlock Wallet..." to unlock your wallet for staking. Enter your passphrase and leave the checkbox "For staking only" selected. Your wallet will be unlocked only for staking and not for sending coins. Hover your mouse over the icons in the lower right corner of your wallet to review the lock, encription, network and staking status
Backup your wallet.
Select the "File - Backup Wallet..." menu option to save a copy of your wallet. Select a location and a filename to save your backup file. Copy your backup file to multiple other locations on and off your computer on a USB drive. This backup file will allow you to restore your wallet if your computer is damaged or lost. Your wallet only needs to be backed up when you create new coin addresses. You do not need to backup your wallet when you receive coins. The coins are not actually stored in your wallet. You are backing up the coin addresses and their private keys to access your coins on the blockchain.
